Motoyu Kansuirō is defined by its four-story wooden tower, a structure built in nineteen nineteen that rises along the bank of the Hayakawa River. This ryokan has operated as a therapeutic bathhouse in the Tonosawa area of Hakone since sixteen fourteen. Its name, Kansuirō, was bestowed by Hirobumi Ito, who served as the first Prime Minister of Japan and frequently stayed here.
