Ajisai bridge

Ajisai Bridge, or Ajisai-bashi, spans the Hayakawa River just a few minutes’ walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. You can recognize this pedestrian bridge by its striking, bright vermilion-painted railings, which contrast sharply against the surrounding natural scenery of the river valley. The name translates to "Hydrangea Bridge," a reference to the flowers that bloom in the region during the month of June.
