Komiyama Book Store stands in the Kanda-Jinbocho district as an eight-story building defined by its evolution through three generations of the Komiyama family. Founded in nineteen thirty-nine by Keiichi Komiyama, the shop originally specialized in historical, philosophical, and archaeological texts. While many shops in this area have long histories, Komiyama maintained a tradition of training apprentices who eventually moved on to open their own independent bookstores.
