Prego Bar and Grill sits on South Street, marked by an interior that has long functioned as a time capsule of mid-century Valletta. For decades, the cafe was defined by its dark, unassuming exterior and a retro atmosphere that remained largely unchanged since its last major refurbishment in nineteen sixty-five. Inside, the space featured red rexine-covered chairs, wooden wall paneling, and a shining Gaggia coffee machine that became a fixture of the city’s daily rhythm.
