Salón París

Salón París is defined by a clock hanging above the bar that is fixed to show almost eight o'clock at all times. This cantina, located on the corner of Jaime Torres Bodet and Salvador Díaz Mirón streets, has operated in the Santa María la Ribera neighborhood since the nineteen thirties. It is widely recognized as a place where the singer José Alfredo Jiménez spent time in his youth after playing amateur soccer, and a plaque from a publishing house commemorates the site as a location where the artist began to perform his songs.
