The Museo Universitario del Chopo is easily recognized by its two prominent, forty-seven-meter-tall spires and a facade built entirely of iron and glass. This structure was designed by Bruno Möhring in the German Jugendstil style for an industrial exhibition in Düsseldorf in nineteen oh two. A Mexican businessman, José Landero y Coss, purchased the dismantled parts of the building and had them shipped to Mexico City, where the museum was reassembled in the Santa María la Ribera neighborhood between nineteen oh three and nineteen oh five.
