Jewish Museum

The Jewish Museum occupies a cluster of four historic Ashkenazi synagogues, marked by tall windows, high ceilings, and grand stair rails that distinguish these buildings from their surroundings. Located in the heart of Amsterdam’s former Jewish quarter, the museum complex includes the Great Synagogue, consecrated in sixteen seventy-one, alongside the Obbene, Dritt, and New synagogues, which were added over the following century to accommodate a growing community.
