Concordia Design Wrocław sits on Słodowa Island, defined by its blend of a nineteenth-century apartment house façade and a modern, transparent extension. This site holds the only building on the island that survived the heavy bombing during the Siege of Breslau in the Second World War. Architects from the firm MVRDV and the local studio Q2 integrated the historic, weathered brick walls of the original structure with a contemporary glass section to create a dual-faced design.
