Restauracja Piwnica Świdnicka Wrocław

Piwnica Świdnicka occupies the deep Gothic cellars beneath the Old Town Hall in the center of the Wrocław Market Square. You can identify the entrance on the southern facade of the building by a stone sculpture depicting a reveler holding a beer mug, with a woman nearby brandishing a shoe to punish him. Established in twelve seventy-three, this site operated for centuries as a strictly regulated civic institution where merchants and travelers gathered to drink dark beer imported from the town of Świdnica.
