Bet Yaakov Synagogue is identifiable by its straightforward brick exterior and a distinct ceiling inside painted with landscape scenes and motifs inspired by the Torah. Located on İcadiye Street in the Kuzguncuk district, the building serves as a space for the local Jewish community to gather for Shabbat and holiday services. While eighteen seventy-eight is the commonly cited completion date, researchers have discovered an Ottoman sultan’s decree from eighteen sixty-two that granted permission for repairs to a synagogue on this site, suggesting the foundation is older.
