Seacombe Ferry

other

The Seacombe Ferry Terminal is defined by a monumental central clock tower rising above a building of brick and Portland stone. Constructed between nineteen thirty and nineteen thirty-three, the terminal was designed by the borough surveyor L. St George Wilkinson to serve as both a ferry station and a terminus for omnibuses. Its architecture follows a simplified classical style arranged around a courtyard, reflecting an era when this site was a primary gateway for travelers crossing the River Mersey.
