Liver Building

The Royal Liver Building is defined by two massive clock towers, each crowned with a six-meter-tall copper liver bird. Completed in nineteen eleven, this landmark stands on the city’s Pier Head as one of the three historic structures known as the Three Graces. It was designed by local architect Walter Aubrey Thomas and ranks among the first large-scale buildings in the world constructed with a reinforced concrete frame.
