Museum of Liverpool

The Museum of Liverpool is defined by its sculptural, stepped appearance, designed to resemble a series of inclined platforms rising from the waterfront. Its facade, clad in light-colored Jura limestone, features a distinct relief pattern that offers a modern interpretation of the historic architectural details found on the neighboring Three Graces. Massive, gabled windows at either end of the structure frame the city and the river, intended to symbolically pull the surrounding history into the interior.
