Chung King Road

Chung King Road is a pedestrian-only alleyway in Los Angeles, distinguished by its narrow width and the two-story buildings that line its path. Completed in nineteen forty-eight as part of the broader development of New Chinatown, the complex was originally designed for a growing population of Chinese merchants, with storefronts on the ground floor and living quarters above. Its architecture features East Asian elements, including flared eaves and carved wooden brackets, which sit alongside original storefront signage from its earlier decades.
