Charlotte Jane Memorial Park Cemetery

Charlotte Jane Memorial Park Cemetery is defined by its collection of above-ground burial vaults. These structures are built close together beneath live oaks and gumbo limbo trees, creating a quiet, dense landscape in the West Grove neighborhood. The cemetery serves as a final resting place for many early Bahamian settlers who arrived in South Florida during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries to build the city of Miami.
