The Taurus Coconut Grove

The Taurus stands at thirty-five forty Main Highway as a piece of Coconut Grove history that predates the modern streetscape. While the establishment traces its identity as a bar to nineteen sixty-nine, the small cottage itself has anchored this corner since nineteen twenty-six. Throughout the decades, the building functioned as a teahouse and a roadhouse, eventually becoming the site of what is recognized as the oldest liquor license in Miami.
