Faneuil Hall Marketplace

landmark

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a complex of four interconnected buildings in downtown Boston that you can identify by the copper grasshopper weathervane perched atop the roof of the original seventeen forty-two Faneuil Hall. This structure serves as the site's historic anchor, which is flanked by the long, central Quincy Market building and the North and South Market structures. The entire district sits on a full city block that was once part of the Boston waterfront, before the harbor was extended through centuries of land reclamation.
