The Savoy Ballroom once occupied the entire block of Lenox Avenue between one hundred fortieth and one hundred forty-first Streets. You can identify the site today by the Savoy Park Apartments, where a commemorative plaque marks the ground where the building stood from nineteen twenty-six until its demolition in nineteen fifty-eight.
