other

The Portland Aerial Tram is a commuter ropeway easily recognized by its two silvery, bubble-shaped cabins that glide between the South Waterfront district and the Marquam Hill campus of Oregon Health and Science University. It is one of just two aerial tramways in the United States designed for public transit. The system travels three thousand three hundred linear feet and rises five hundred feet above the city, completing the trip in about three minutes.
