The Dreamer

You are approaching The Dreamer, an abstract bronze sculpture of a reclining woman nestled within a quiet reflecting pool in Pettygrove Park. Installed in nineteen seventy-nine, the work was created by artist Manuel Izquierdo, who utilized surplus Navy bronze to craft its flowing, organic form. The sculpture sits atop a geometric base, positioned to appear as though it is rising directly from the water.
