In Pioneer Courthouse Square, a bronze figure of a man in a three-piece suit stands six feet, ten inches tall, holding an umbrella above his head while appearing to hail a taxi. Created by artist John Seward Johnson the second in nineteen eighty-three, the sculpture is officially titled Allow Me. Locals and visitors commonly refer to the statue as the Umbrella Man.
