Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall

You can identify the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall by the sixty-five-foot tall sign spelling out Portland in bright lights above its Broadway marquee. Originally opened in nineteen twenty-eight as the Portland Publix Theatre, it stands as the last surviving historic theater on Broadway in downtown Portland. Designed by the Chicago architecture firm Rapp and Rapp, the building features an Italian Rococo Revival style, once filled with treasures like marble statues and chandeliers sourced from French collections.
