The Weather Machine is a thirty-foot-tall bronze column standing in the northwest corner of Pioneer Courthouse Square. Designed by the Omen Design Group and installed in nineteen eighty-eight, this kinetic sculpture functions as a public weather beacon. It features bronze wind scoops, vertical colored lights that indicate temperature, and a light system for air quality.
