Lovejoy Fountain Park

Lovejoy Fountain Park is defined by its dramatic, terraced concrete fountain, where water cascades down irregular steps into pools that mimic the mountain streams of the Cascade Range. Completed in nineteen sixty-six, this one-acre site was the first in a series of urban spaces designed by landscape architect Lawrence Halprin to bring natural forms into the city’s dense South Auditorium District.
