Portland Union Station

Portland Union Station is unmistakable for the one-hundred-fifty-foot Romanesque Revival clock tower that rises above the skyline. Anchored by its four-sided Seth Thomas clock, the station serves as a landmark for rail travelers arriving in the city. The building is constructed of moulded brick and terra cotta, featuring a prominent red metal roof that has sheltered passengers since the station opened on February fourteenth, eighteen ninety-six.
