Chop Suey sits on the corner of Fourteenth Avenue and Madison Street in a one-story structure originally built in nineteen thirty-seven as a retail store. The building is recognizable by its storefront windows and the industrial-style lounge known as The Den, which now occupies a space that once served as a storage area. Since two thousand two, this site has operated as a live music venue, hosting an eclectic mix of electronic, hip-hop, and local indie rock acts.
