The main entrance to Victoria Falls National Park is identified by its proximity to the town of Victoria Falls and the steady stream of travelers arriving to see the Zambezi River plunge over the basalt cliffs. It serves as the gateway to the series of fifteen numbered viewpoints that span the Zimbabwean side of the falls. Just inside this gate, a bronze statue of the Scottish explorer David Livingstone commemorates his arrival in eighteen fifty-five.
