Bow Falls is a wide, powerful cascade where the Bow River drops nine meters over ancient limestone cliffs. Unlike the dramatic, narrow plunges found elsewhere in the mountains, this waterfall spans the width of the river, creating a persistent, rushing sound that rises from the canyon floor near the town of Banff. It sits just before the junction where the Bow and Spray rivers meet, set against the backdrop of Mount Rundle.
