The Institut suédois is marked by a heavy blue carriage door on Rue Payenne, which opens into the courtyard of the Hôtel de Marle. This sixteenth-century mansion, originally built in fifteen seventy-two, is the only cultural institute Sweden maintains outside of its own borders.
