Saint-Denys-du-Saint-Sacrement

religious

The Church of Saint-Denys-du-Saint-Sacrement is distinguished by a sober neoclassical façade featuring a central portico of four Ionic columns topped by a triangular pediment. Built between eighteen twenty-six and eighteen thirty-five on the site of a former Benedictine monastery, the structure was designed by architect Étienne-Hippolyte Godde. The pediment is decorated with a bas-relief by sculptor Jean-Jacques Feuchère representing the theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity.
