Polidor

The Polidor stands at forty-one Rue Monsieur-le-Prince, identified by the long wooden tables inside and a frontage that has remained largely unchanged since the end of the nineteenth century. Originally opened in eighteen forty-five as a creamery that sold dairy products and simple meals, it transitioned into a restaurant by eighteen ninety. It retains the wood-paneled walls and mirrors of its early days, along with rows of small wooden boxes at the back where regular customers once stored their personal napkins.
