Square de la Salamandre

The Square de la Salamandre is marked by the winding, curved paths of its central garden, which trace the serpentine shape of the legendary amphibian. Created in nineteen eighty-eight by architect Pierre Colboc, the space occupies the former park of an eighteenth-century manor house, where a boarding school run by the Sisters of Providence of Portrieux operated between eighteen thirty-six and nineteen oh six.
