Studio Davout was a recording complex occupying a former neighborhood cinema at seventy-three Boulevard Davout. Opened in nineteen sixty-five by Yves Chamberland and Claude Ermelin, the facility repurposed the movie house into a specialized acoustic space. Its centerpiece, Studio A, featured a massive four-hundred-square-meter floor and nine-meter-high ceilings, providing enough volume to accommodate over one hundred musicians for orchestral recordings.
