Picpus Cemetery, located at thirty-five rue de Picpus, is one of only two private cemeteries in Paris. You can identify it by the quiet, shaded garden and the wall that separates this private enclave from the city outside. It was established on land formerly belonging to a convent of the Canonesses of Saint Augustine, which was seized during the French Revolution.
