Les Jardins de La Coulée Verte

The Coulée verte René-Dumont is a linear park that rises ten meters above the streets of the twelfth arrondissement on a series of brick arches. It stretches four and a half kilometers from the Opéra Bastille to the edge of the Bois de Vincennes, following the path of a nineteenth-century railway line. This route once carried steam trains from the Gare de la Bastille to the eastern suburbs until the line closed in nineteen sixty-nine.
