The Marché Couvert Beauvau is a rectangular hall defined by an interior ceiling that curves upward like the hull of an inverted boat. Located in the twelfth arrondissement, this covered market occupies the western side of the Place d'Aligre. It was established in seventeen eighty-one on land provided by Gabrielle-Charlotte de Beauvau, who was then the head of the nearby Saint-Antoine Abbey.
