The Großer Dutzendteich is a large, man-made lake identifiable by the winding recreational paths that encircle its water and the contrast between its quiet, leafy shores and the monumental, unfinished stone architecture nearby. Created around fourteen thirty by damming a local stream, the lake became a center for public leisure in the nineteenth century, eventually hosting a lighthouse and viewing platforms for the nineteen oh six Bavaria State Exhibition.
