Republic House on Graphic Road is a significant branch of GCB Bank, the largest indigenous financial institution in Ghana. The building is one of many locations for a bank that began in nineteen fifty-three as the Bank of the Gold Coast. At its founding, the institution operated with just twenty-seven employees and a clear mission to provide financial services to Ghanaian traders, farmers, and business people who struggled to access credit from the expatriate banks of the colonial era.
