The Aegean Maritime Museum occupies a traditional nineteenth-century house in the Tria Pigadia area of Mykonos. This building once belonged to Captain Nikolaos Sourmelis, who used his merchant ship, the Enosis, to provide essential support to Cretans fighting against the Ottomans.
