Akti Kampani

Akti Kampani, often known locally as Gialos, stretches along the waterfront of downtown Mykonos. The name honors a former mayor of the island, whose nineteenth-century residence, Villa Kampani, remains one of the most recognized properties in the area. Built in the eighteen fifties, the house reflects a departure from traditional Cycladic architecture, blending local forms with the neoclassical style common to central Athens at the time.
