Archaeological Museum of Mykonos

The Archaeological Museum of Mykonos occupies a neoclassical building on the waterfront of the Old Port in Mykonos Town. Established in nineteen oh two, the museum was commissioned to house a specific collection of grave offerings and artifacts recovered from a burial site on the neighboring island of Rhenia. The building is characterized by its clean, structured neoclassical lines and sits in a prominent position overlooking the harbor, housing findings that trace the region's history from the ninth century before Christ.
