The tomb of Muhammad Quli Khan sits on an elevated stone platform, identifiable by its octagonal shape and the dome that rises above the surrounding trees. Built in the seventeenth century, this structure serves as the final resting place for a general in the army of the Mughal emperor Akbar. Quli Khan was a foster brother to the emperor, born to Maham Anga, who was Akbar's own foster mother.
