Zafar Mahal is recognizable by its imposing, three-story gate built of red sandstone. This structure, known as the Hathi Gate, features broad balconies, curved Bengali-style domes, and ornate lotus medallions, all designed to allow fully decorated elephants to pass through its central arch.
