Dare House is recognizable by its sleek, vertical lines and curved corners that meet at the busy junction of Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road and Rajaji Salai. Constructed between nineteen thirty-eight and nineteen forty, this Art Deco landmark features geometric patterns and a distinctive sunburst jaali design for ventilation. It now serves as the headquarters for the Murugappa Group, but its name originates from John William Dare, a nineteenth-century partner of the firm Parry and Company.
