The Madras High Court is marked by its sprawling red brick exterior and a series of magnificent bulbous domes, the tallest of which once guided ships toward the nearby coast. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style, this judicial complex brings together Hindu, Islamic, and European architectural elements across its massive campus. It was inaugurated on July twelfth, eighteen ninety-two, after four years of construction overseen by engineers Henry Irwin and J.H. Stephens.
