The Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, is defined by its striking black, cube-shaped exterior, which stands as a sharp geometric contrast to the surrounding riverside landscape. Opened in February twenty twenty-two, the museum is the culmination of nearly forty years of planning, having been first conceived in nineteen eighty-three to commemorate the centenary of Osaka’s municipal organization.
