Umeda Sky Building

The Umeda Sky Building is identifiable by its twin forty-story glass towers, which are bridged at the very top by a circular, open-air structure known as the Floating Garden Observatory. Completed in nineteen ninety-three and designed by architect Hiroshi Hara, the building stands one hundred seventy-three meters tall. Its exterior is clad in approximately seventeen thousand half-mirrored glass panels, a choice that causes the structure to reflect the sky and shift its appearance throughout the day.
