Neel Nakazakicho occupies a century-old traditional folk house, distinguishable by its wooden facade and the small pear motif found on its shop plaque. The cafe opened in May twenty twenty-three as an Osaka branch of the established Tokyo coffee house. Inside, the two-story layout incorporates curved wooden architectural elements, dubbed the Neel Wave by the design team, intended to reflect rhythm and natural flow throughout the narrow space.
