Tsukuda Ohashi Bridge

The Tsukuda Ohashi Bridge is marked by a relief sculpture at its parapet detailing its own history. Constructed in nineteen sixty-four, it holds the distinction of being the first bridge built over the Sumida River following the Second World War. Its completion was a response to the heavy traffic on the Kachidoki-bashi bridge located downstream, which required a new crossing to relieve the congestion in the area.
