A twelve-meter-tall fiberglass head of Godzilla looms fifty meters above the ground, perched on an eighth-floor terrace of the Shinjuku Toho Building. Modeled after the suit from the nineteen ninety-two film *Godzilla vs. Mothra*, this eighty-ton sculpture overlooks the Kabukicho district. Since its unveiling in April two thousand fifteen, the head has been engineered to roar, emit mist, and illuminate its eyes every hour from noon until eight in the evening.
